20th November is a lovely day for PTPL Penang Toastmasters Club as our Toastmaster of the Day, Hong Tze Wei,ACB,ALB started the ball rolling by asking everyone to introduce themselves and share what had they been grateful for all this while.Along we heard plenty of emotional filled stories as well as bright hope..
In toastmaster we not only provide positive learning environment but we will also recognize members efforts.That why in the opening speech ,president Tan Leong Shen present district 51pin for Jeremy and Denho for their effort.
We had two assignment speakers where Lim Hui Pei did her CC Project 2 about the benefits of travelling while aJeremy did his CC Project 6,about perception. He indeed successfully injected ample amount of humours inside the speech and made everyone laugh out loud and comfortable.Not enough of humour, Katigeyan further on tickled our funny bones by sharing his joke to the audience. We had nasi lemak as refreshment and everyone was so busy chatting that the break was prolonged from 10 minutes to 15 minutes. Jerry Low,CC as the Table Topics Master throw out various table topics question to floor and we had 6 brave souls (Thomas,Jason,Stella,Chun Hoe,Alex & Kishin) to attempt those difficult but yet interesting questions.
Our new member Patrick Chai was also inducted by Vice President of Membership,Jeremy Hiew and we all pledged to help him in his Toastmasters journey. Great evaluation as well by Katigeyan & Jason Wong,ACS,ALB on the assignment speakers. Last but not least, Ng Tik Liang,CC shared his testimonial about why did he join Toastmasters & how he benefited from it. President Leong Shen further on shared his own personal experience being grateful to Toastmasters International. His experience was so touching that he started to cry and made us felt so emotional.In the end, 2 of our guests ,Stella Seow & Chun Hoe decided to join us and that’s how we get 2 new members.
