TLI1 at Disted College, 18-7-2010

Keeping in line with past years tradition, Division N & S up north in Penang teamed up again for a joint TLI session at Disted College on 18th July 2010. Both Divisions saw a record turnout of club officers for TLI1 and the energy level was amazing. The TLI team lined up experienced speakers who shared all the core subjects with zest and humor. The breakout session was also handled very well by the area governors from both divisions. This TLI gave an avenue for the new area governors to try their hand in facilitating discussion and training. The organizing team headed by Jessica Ho CC,CL put up a great show with a well planed and well executed TLI session. The logistics was flawless and the food was sumptuous though it was all strictly vegetarian. Another attribute which reflected detailed planning was the training started and ended on time. The time keepers practically danced at the back of the hall to make sure speakers keep to their allocated time and blew whistles after the tea break until all the club officers adjourned to their breakout sessions.

A note worthy achievement was from Area S3 which recorded a 100% Club Officers attendance with all 7 club officers from all the 4 clubs in the area showing up for the training. Kudos to the area governor SP Kay ACS,CL.At the end of the day the club officers left with all the basic tools they need to perform their duties and with the reassurance that they are not alone in their journey. To both the Division Governors Sutharat Nai Charm ACB, ALS - Division N and Johnson Tang, CC ALB - Division S keep up the spirits of your strong team and congratulations on a very successful TLI1.

Of the clubs that have attended TLI Club officers Training 1 in Division N
and S, 11 clubs came with full force by having 7 out of 7 officers attending
TLI 1. And the clubs were none other than:

1. Penang Seagate Toastmasters Club
2. Bayan Baru Toastmasters Club
3. Penang Tamil Toastmasters Club
4. Gurney-Hydro Toastmasters Club
5. Helping Hand Advanced Toastmasters Club
6. Farlim Toastmasters Club and
7. MOTOROLA Penang Toastmasters Club
8. MOTOROLA Penang (II) Cyber-Speakers Toastmasters Club
9. Pentamaster Toastmasters Club
10. Sungai Ara Toastmasters Club
11. Inari Toastmasters Club
